What is the minimum age to do a Taster Dive?
This will vary from venue to venue but typically speaking the minimum age is 10 years of age. If you are unsure of the minimum age at your chosen venue just give our Scuba Nation Sales Consultants a call on 0870 162 4847.

Will I need to be a strong swimmer in order to Scuba Dive?
Different venues will require different proficiency in swimming but, generally speaking, you will need to be able to swim 2 lengths of the pool comfortably.

Is it difficult to learn how to Scuba Dive?
No, Scuba Diving is certainly one the easiest recreational activities to learn how to do. There are, essentially, only 3 basic skills required to Scuba Dive. These are floating, kicking and breathing. Of course, there is more to it than that but with these skills, you can become a Scuba Diver.

Isn't the equipment heavy and difficult to use?
No, not at all. Learning to use the equipment is straightforward and despite being cumbersome on the surface, the breathing apparatus is practically weightless under the surface.

I wear contact lenses / glasses, can I still dive?
Yes, you can wear soft contact lenses when Scuba Diving or, alternatively, you can get prescription lenses in your mask.
